We've just returned from the Concours of Elegance and the sublime setting of Hampton Court in London, the palace was the perfect backdrop for the automotive excellence event which ran for three days including the Friday which was owners day followed by two public days.

It's been sometime since our Mk2 Golf GTI has had a mention, well last week I recorded a short video explaining what the plan was with our Mk2 ABF conversion and how far we'd got. The video shows some footage of the car and explains what we've managed to do, and what we hope to start in the coming weeks.
We chose the ABF engine route as it's a strong engine with great specs and pretty much is identical in resemblance to the KR 16v, the only difference being a 1cm taller block.

It is becoming increasingly harder for new young drivers to get on the road, even the smallest 1.0-liter city car costing around one thousand pounds and the average Vauxhall Corsa or Ford Fiesta costing in excess of one thousand pounds to insure. This means that as a young driver it is becoming more and more out of reach to get on the road as a new driver.
