The Latest Car reviews

After that, we could not wait to get behind the wheel of one, so Ben and I were delighted to receive an invite from the lovely people at BYD for a drive day event in Bolton!

BYD stands for Build Your Dreams, and it turns out that they know a thing or two about EV’s – in fact, they sold 250,000 models in May alone! They started out building batteries, starting in 1995, and I’m sure many of you will remember those old Nokia phones. Well nowadays, 1 in 5 of all mobile phone batteries in the UK have been made by them.

In 2008, they released a plug in hybrid version of their F3 ICE car, followed by their first BEV in 2010, and whilst their range of electric cars increased, they continued to supply electric trucks and buses to various industries around the world.

Now available in the UK, the Atto 3 offers a range of 260 miles – which goes up to 350 miles in a city environment – and an attractive starting price.
