The Latest Car reviews

(Reading time: 2 - 4 minutes)

The EX Style is the latest and newest trim for the much loved Jazz - and if you are looking for a small car that combines economy, performance and practicality (ahh, magic seats!) you can't go wrong with this supermini. It's rather Tardis-like inside, and you can have oodles of fun reconfiguring the magic seats, as they are versatile enough to suit most needs.

This means that there are now four trims in the range to choose from:

SE:             Available with a 1.5L Petrol Hybrid iMMD Two Motor Engine which delivers 96 BHP. Priced from £20,860.00 On The Road
SR:             Available with a 1.5L Petrol Hybrid iMMD Two Motor Engine which delivers 96 BHP. Priced from £22,375.00 On The Road
EX:             Available with a 1.5L Petrol Hybrid iMMD Two Motor Engine which delivers 96 BHP. Priced from £24,015.00 On The Road
EX Style:    Available with a 1.5L Petrol Hybrid iMMD Two Motor Engine which delivers 96 BHP. Priced from £26,850.00 On The Road

This new trim gives you more to love about the Honda Jazz, and it's new 16" alloy wheels really pop, standing out nicely against the two-tone looks from the roof and the door mirrors, and even though the hybrid powertrain takes up a little more space in the boot, you still have over 300 litres to use - and of course, this space increases exponentially once the back seats are folded down. Another handy feature is that the front passenger seat folds down too.

With a nice big windscreen, the Jazz is easy to manoeuvre, but if you fancy some extra help with this, you can get front and rear parking sensors as standard on the the SR Trim and above and a reversing camera as standard on the EX Trim and above. These are available as options on the first two trims as well.

The Jazz has been crafted to see the beautiful in everyday objects, taking inspiration from Japanese culture: "We have developed this car as a product that has the ability to enrich the daily lives of those who use it," explains Takeki Tanaka, Jazz Large Project Leader, "and it utilises the Japanese concept of "Yoo no bi""

You don't need to compromise on safety either, as all Trims are fitted with Honda Sensing, giving you:
Automatic High Beam Assist
Adaptive Cruise Control
Blind Spot Detection
Lane Keep Assist
Traffic Sign Recognition
Collision Mitigation

Also, lane keep assist is enhanced by the new, wide angle camera. With enhanced body strength and 10 airbags fitted as standard, the latest generation of Jazz is now NCAP5.

So what makes this new, top end trim stand above the others? As I mentioned before, it has new, 16" alloy wheels, two-tone door mirrors, a black roof and a black rear spoiler. They have also uprated the infotainment system, it's nine inch, fitted with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and is nice and responsive too.

Join us as we review this versatile little supermini – with it’s soft suspension – giving you a comfy ride no matter how long your journey is – and fantastic economy, this might be exactly what you are looking for.
