Join us for Part 2 of our Atto 3 road trip, as we take in the lively streets of Manchester Old Trafford, through the serene landscapes of Lytham St. Annes, and to the iconic seaside charm of Blackpool.
With a range that competes with the best in its class, the Atto 3 reassured us that range anxiety would be the least of our concerns. Its performance on the motorway was equally impressive, combining smooth acceleration with the quietness only an EV can offer, making it an ideal companion for our diverse road trip.
Our journey began in Manchester, with Old Trafford as our first landmark. Having had the chance to see the new all electric Ford Explorer in the flesh was an ideal road trip adventure, and the Atto 3 navigated the urban sprawl with ease, its compact dimensions disguising a spacious interior that comfortably accommodated our gear and personal items. Manchester's vibrant energy was the perfect backdrop to test the Atto 3's agility and responsiveness, which it passed with flying colours.
Manchester, being at the forefront of embracing electric mobility, offered ample charging opportunities. The Atto 3's fast-charging capability meant we could top up our battery quickly, ensuring we were always ready for the next leg of our journey.
As we moved away from the hustle and bustle of Manchester, Lytham St. Annes offered a tranquil retreat – and pizza!
The Atto 3's smooth ride quality came into its own, gliding along coastal roads with serene grace. Here, the BYD's eco-friendliness felt in harmony with the natural beauty surrounding us. Once settled, we headed to Pizza Express for a well earned respite before heading over to Blackpool.
Driving down the beachfront, the Atto 3 attracted admiring glances. Its design, both futuristic and functional, sparked curiosity and conversation, proving that electric cars can indeed possess a distinct character and charm.
Arriving in Blackpool, the Atto 3 felt right at home amidst the illuminations, its LED headlights complementing the vibrant display of lights. The seaside air and lively atmosphere highlighted one of the Atto 3's most understated benefits: the absence of exhaust emissions, allowing us to enjoy the fresh air and ocean breeze unspoiled.
Cruising down the promenade, the Atto 3's infotainment system provided the soundtrack to our seaside adventure. Its intuitive interface and connectivity features ensured our favourite tunes and navigation aids were always at our fingertips, enhancing our driving experience.
Reflecting on our journey with the BYD Atto 3, it's clear that electric vehicles are not just about sustainable mobility; they're about enhancing the road trip experience in ways we hadn't imagined. From the dynamic streets of Manchester to the tranquil shores of Lytham St. Annes and the iconic lights of Blackpool, the Atto 3 proved to be a capable, comfortable, and, most importantly, enjoyable companion.
