Well, Day One of the London Motor Show is now over; and what an octane fuelled day we experienced. We got to meet some really great guys, got up close and personal with many well renowned cars, manufacturers and car styling boutiques. Over the coming weeks expect to see in great detail exactly what we got up to at The Confused.com London Motor Show 2017 – including the new MG XS X-Over, a premium vehicle emanating retro style, superb drivability and outstanding value for money.

HR Owen were there with a range of vehicles and their VIP service; these guys are representing in a big way, with a range of bespoke VIP services including a range of chauffeur driven vehicles, as well as dealerships catering to the luxury car market including Rolls Royce, Bentley, Bugatti, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston Martin and the list goes on…

Clive Sutton unveiled their 800BHP Ford Mustang, and we experienced the thunderous sound of the supercharged V8. These guys offer a range imported US vehicles ready to drive on UK roads, including the Dodge Hellcat, Ford Mustang, Chevy, GMC and Lincoln Navigator to name but a few.

We were also lucky enough to witness the unveiling of the new 5th generation Nissan Micra, redefining the humble hatchback design to a wider, longer wheelbase, with a far more sporty feel. The addition of inspired customisation and tech, makes it far more suited to the evolving European market. Nissan were also showcasing a range of other JDM vehicles, including the rather ferocious Godzilla, the 2017 R35 GTR with an interior facelift and a few tweaks. The GTR originally dubbed as the Skyline, dropped the name after the R34. If electric vehicles are more your style, the Nissan EV, The Leaf was on show, which we aim to get our hands on before the release of the new model towards the end of the year.

Vauxhall were exhibiting their latest compact SUV the Crossland X, as well as the 2017 Insignia Grandsport, 2017 Corsa and Mokka X.

Also there was famed car boutique Yiannimize, displaying their latest Golf R in a funky satin blue wrap - watch out on the Saturday and Sunday for @y14nny doing a custom wrap on a lucky winners’ chosen object, and there is also a possibility of another Yiannimized vehicle making an appearance, whether it’s a Lamborghini Aventador, blue SVR Range Rover or something else.

Other manufacturers showcasing at the London Motor Show included Alfa Romeo, Porsche, Tesla, Maserati, Fiat, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Morgan, Bentley, Alpine, Aston Martin, Caterham, David Brown Automotive, Abarth, Hyundai, Jeep, Land Rover, BMW and Mini, Ford, Toyota, Mitsubishi, SsangYong…More on these guys tomorrow and of course Liberty Walk and Kahn Design.
