TVR has just unveiled the V8 Cosworth powered Griffith at Goodwood Revival, the much-loved British car manufacturer famed for their light weight and powerful high-end sports car. In 2013 we saw the end of TVR as we know it and became TVR Automotive Ltd. This means the latest offering from TVR is big news as this is the first mass produced TVR in over 10 years being the make it or break it car for TVR. Here is some headline figures, a better power to weight ration than a Porsche 911 Turbo S, a full carbon fibre body and a Ford Cosworth V8 which will push the car over 200mph.

Welcome the all new TVR Griffith, with aerodynamics designed and engineered by the one and only Gordon Murray, famed for F1 and the Mclaren F1, this muscle sports car has a staggering 400bhp per tonne, carbon chassis, very limited tech and the raucous tones of British engine developer Cosworth, famed for the Sierra and Escort Cosworth models in the 80's and 90's. The brand has stayed true to TVR with sweeping lines, exagerated wheel arches and side exit exhaust.

Redeveloping TVR had been dubbed as a risk, especially with the British brands chequered past, however looking at this they had nothing to worry about, it's a staggering piece of machinery, a muscle type of sports car, we can't wait to get behind the wheel.

The first Griffith appeared in 1963 built in Blackpool, the company is now owned by Les Egdar games magnate, a world away from previous models but still the heart and soul of a Blackpool beast.
